Really really raw WIP guide so for beta it's much simpler and I will update it as it goes.
Since the EXP rate is 30x, it's in just few short phases. Remember to @Beta and then @buffme (Now that HS is added back it should be even simpler).
1-10 - You do your Maple Island/Ereve quests
*Explorer once you reach Lith Harbour just click the light bulb above you and talk to the NPC with shades and then head to middle to talk to Olaf and you should be level 15/16.
10-30 - After that you go to job change and then head to your respective class town to do the training from the training instructors (do all the quests inside).
*If you got afew friends with you, perhaps y'all could consider Kerning PQ for 21-40+.
Alternatively you could do the Sleepywood questline or the NLC Mayor Quiz if you're like 26-27 and needing that bit more level. I myself got lazy and just went to bubbling and hit myself to 30.
Also if this is not your first character, you can just do the Amoria Wedding Prequest (Talk to Mom and Dad at Henesys). It should speed you level 10-30.
(You will be 45-ish on beta).
45-55 - You either do the Kerning Mall questline (pretty tiring for me) or just GS1/2/5 all the way till you're 55.
*EPQ if you could find some people to carry you
55-130 - Pirate PQ (This will be the bread and butter for Beta)
*When the server isn't on 30x beta anymore it probably will go like PPQ till level 70-80
Or you could RNJ 70-80.
80 head to Ulu Entrance to leech until 10x and then proceed to leech/bottom attack at Skele until 140/150/160.
120-160 - You have two options either Skele dungeon or Lionheart Castle
*During this period you could also do Bigfoot/Headless Horseman for the mesos quest, talk to the lady beside the pyramid you should bag about 900m-ish/day from this.
**Papu is also pretty decent exp during this period.
***You could also consider doing some dojo or hunting your monster cards codex during this phase.
160-200 - Slimes for Cleavers/Ribbon Pigs for ST @ Future Henesys Suspicious Hill
180-200 - Stone/Silver Mask @ Future Perion
200+ - Hall of Honor, Knight's Chamber 5 or Knight's District # whichever you fancy.
Don't forget bosses whenever you could find a group. JOIN A GUILD.

And then a quickie one for all the nerds making a poison char for BoF,
NW>FP>BW for this (Mainly because BW's poison is a lot more clunky and also accuracy issue if it's the first character. BW is alright if you intend to take it further than 120/130)
Alternatively if you couldn't find a PPQ carry/group.
75 You can head to Ulu2 and poison until you're
80 (maxed poison so you can 1 skill/kill). Then you go to Shao5-6 Map until 120
120 You head to LHC and poison while doing the three key quests.
*** As a NW do not add your VANISH until you're sure you do not want to poison train anymore. So you could just poisonbomb the crap out of them in dark sight.

180+ If you're geared enough you can consider Stone/Silver Mask @ Future Perion
200+ You a bigboi now, Hall of Honor, Knight's Chamber 5 or Knight's District # whichever you fancy (see which mob drop the best loot atm)
Also if this is not your first character or if you got someone to help you out, you can just do the Amoria Wedding Prequest (Talk to Mom and Dad at Henesys). It should speed you level 10-30 with these etc.

Do remember that at the end of the day MapleStory is still a game, do what you find fun.
I did 0 PQ on my first character for the 1-100+ journey. Yes it's a lot slower but I enjoyed it + I could Netflix on the side.
My second character I did two Ludi PQ and realized it's really really exhausting and not to my liking at all so in total I only did a total of TWO PQs on TWO characters, so it's not PQ-MS nor is it mandatory to do PQ but a great option to. Not a need but a good to have.
The game's a marathon and not a race, so just go at your own pace!
