YunaMS places a big emphasis on dailies and weeklies. I was pretty overwhelmed at first, so this guide will try to summarize everything you need to know once you’re done with the boosted quest lines. Along with the Temple of Time quest line starting at level 105, you'll push all the way to level 130, which is the minimum level required to start getting exp from expeditions (bosses).

Before we get into the content of the guide, it’s important that you understand the Spirit Point (SP) system - a core feature of YunaMS.

Upon completing certain activities such as bosses, weeklies, and party quests, you’ll get a small amount of SP. A more detailed explanation can be found on the features page. You can access the SP shop by using @jarvis in game. With the current market prices, White Scrolls (WS) and Chaos Scrolls (CS) are the most profitable items to buy. There are plenty of shops in FM that sell WS/CS, so if you need a pricing idea, you can look through the market.
jarvissp.png
WS are a massive part of the economy, as end-game players require dozens of WS per equipment slot to perfect them. Selling WS will be how you make meso early on, and later on you’ll use WS instead of meso to barter for expensive items. As a result, gaining SP to exchange for WS will be one of the main ways you make money and buy items.

Dailies

You can do most bosses and late game PQs twice a day. You can check what you have left with @dailies. Jump quests are an exception to this, and can only be done once a day per account. Dailies reset at midnight server time (GMT -4). To check what time it currently is, you can do @time in game. Before you start bossing, please remember to do your Hero's Will quest to cleanse seduce and buy Wheels of Destiny from the Cash Shop in case you die.

On YunaMS, a group of veterans will host a boss train (BT) a few times a day, an event where a group of players will run through a list of daily bosses for exp, SP, and drops. I highly recommend reading David’s bossing etiquette guide - he explains what you need to know before joining a BT. If you don’t know how to complete your prequests, you can refer to Jin’s prequest guide, or you can Google it. Just be wary that some prequests on YunaMS are slightly altered, but most prequest guides will work fine.

To get notified for BTs, you can join the @discord and get an @Boss Train role under #get-roles, or you can lurk in the alliance and wait for people to call it out.

The requirement to get exp is level 130, but some bosses have varying level requirements. Not only is a boss train the fastest way to get levels past 130, but it gives a good amount of SP as well.

Typically, a boss train consists of the following bosses:
  • Normal Horntail
  • Von Leon
  • Wulin (level 140+)
  • Normal Zakum
These are the most worthwhile bosses when it comes SP gain, exp, and drops. Not all boss trains will follow this exact route. It's up to the person hosting to decide which bosses they're doing and in what order. Additional bosses, such as Chaos Zakum or Scarlion/Targa, are done if there’s enough DPS to do them within a reasonable time and if people want to do them.

As a reminder, you can do @dailies to see which boss entries you have left. Like most other dailies, you get two entries a day per boss.

Each character can do CWKPQ twice a day. This PQ requires one of each main class: Warrior, Archer, Mage, Thief, and Pirate. I recommend looking up a guide on how to do CWKPQ - any guide should do as this PQ is unchanged from old Maplestory. This PQ doesn’t give much exp, and gives 5 SP per run. The bosses drop a Mark of Naricain, which is a good damage boost if you don’t have a Chaos Horntail Pendant yet. The main appeal is the bonus room, as you can get WS, CS, Clean Slate Scroll 20%, Naricain’s Demon Elixir, Swiss Cheese, and Gelt Chocolate.
cwkpq2.png
This is how you split the loot in CWKPQ; most of the time you'll be using the 5-man bonus room layout. Your number corresponds with your party position. If you're unsure, communicate with your party members. Note that there are two additional boxes at the sides that aren't pictured in this image. The content of the boxes are usually free-for-all, however, if a WS/CS/CSS20% drop, it is usually rolled for. You should have plenty of time to break your boxes and loot everything, so no need to rush!

jq.png
Each account (not character) can do each JQ from a list for SP once a day. You can access the list by using @jq. I recommend having fun with it; try them all out and see which ones you like doing. If you absolutely despise JQs, you can avoid doing these entirely.

If you don’t mind doing easy JQs, Henesys and Ludibrium JQ are very easy. You can do them both within a minute each, and they award 3 SP each. I find Zipangu JQ easy as well because there are checkpoints, so it’s not as frustrating if you fall.

I’m sure there are other JQs that are worth your time, but I only do these three as I find them short enough.

mar3.png
Once a day, you can do a quest that gives you 20 HP permanently. There are certain restrictions to this quest:
  • You must be above level 120
  • You must have under 20,000 HP
  • This quest is not available to mages
mar2.png
At the bottom right of Ellinia, there’s a new portal. Enter it and talk to Mar to accept her quest. Each quest will randomly ask for three different ETC drops. The drop rate for the item is always 10% from the appropriate mob. Depending on what you get, this quest might take a while. It’s a nice option for people that want a bit more HP.

Usually, you’ll only do these dailies if you need to with @weeklies, or if you feel like it. I’ll quickly go over them, but for the most part, they’re not worth your time.

Expedition Balrog, Normal/Chaos Papulatus, Krexel, Castellan Toad, and The Boss aren’t commonly done because of their lackluster SP gain, exp, drops, or a combination of the three.
Scarlion and Targa have poor exp and SP gain, but they drop helmets that are better than Zakum Helms. The chaos versions drop Chaos Scarlion and Chaos Targa Hats, which will be your best in slot until you go for a Sweetwater Hat. They drop basic gems which aren’t too valuable, but some of their skill books are rare so there can be a bit of money to be made.
Chaos Horntail is usually done outside of a boss train. The exp, SP, and drops are great, but it's very punishing as you're only allowed 5 deaths for the entire expedition. People will usually run this in smaller groups to minimize the risk of a run failing.

apple.png
APQ drops the iconic Onyx Apple, a classic item known for how strong of a buff it is. However, APQ is completely overshadowed by CWKPQ, as you can get an abundance of Narcs, Gelts, and Cheeses from it. You need to be engaged/married to someone, and you need to collect 10 keys per APQ entry. This PQ requires six engaged/married players and can be done 4 times a day. Outside of the Onyx Apples, the drops are forgettable. It does reward 5 PQ Points and is relatively fast, so if you have an experienced party this is probably one of the better places to farm PQ Points.

mv.png
In the golden yeti statue at NLC, you can start MVPQ. Stage one consists of you breaking rocks to get letters, requiring 15 total. The rocks will respawn after a couple minutes.

Once you’ve collected 15 letters, hand them in at the top left and enter the door to defeat MV. He has 300M HP, has a chance of dropping Stormcaster Gloves, and has a few rare skill books.

The third stage is a bonus/loot room. You can ignore the mobs and make it to the top to break boxes. Most of the loot is unremarkable, but this is an easy way to get Circle of Ancient Strength and Circle of Ancient Thought, as well as Ring for STR/DEX/INT/LUK 100% scrolls. The max clean stat is 3/3, so you can get a 6 stat ring without hammers. It’s a good filler for alts or if you don’t have the quest rings. Don’t get too excited by CSS scrolls dropping, they’re all 1%s.

Overall, this PQ is nothing to write home about. The rings sell for pretty cheap, it only gives you 3 SP, and its exp is negligible. Most people only do this if they get it as a weekly.

Weeklies

On YunaMS, weeklies reset Sunday at midnight server time. If you're unsure how long you have until the weekly reset, you can check with @weeklies.
weeklies.png
If you type @weeklies in game, you’ll see a list of 5 weekly tasks. Most of these are rather easy, but sometimes you can get annoying ones such as "Kill Krex" or "Complete MVPQ" which aren't easy to find people for. Each task completion gives you 10 SP. If you complete all five, you’ll get an additional 20 SP, totalling 70 SP. The @weeklies command becomes available at level 30, and every character on your account has their own set of weeklies, meaning you can get 70 SP/week/character.

Quick tip: if you get the "Complete a Party Quest: 0/15" weekly, go to Mushroom Kingdom and fight Prime Minister again. If you're above level 70, you'll probably one-shot the boss, and it counts as a PQ.

Pink Bean and Empress are the only weekly bosses on YunaMS. You can do these once a week. One important thing to note is that since these are weekly bosses, you have an unlimited number of attempts until you clear the expedition, so you can enter and leave with no penalty. If you've forgotten whether you've done PB/Empress, your entry count can be seen in @dailies.

pb.png
The main appeal of Pink Bean is that it drops Rocks of Time and Timeless gear. You can disassemble Timeless weapons with the Maker skill to get one Rock of Time. Timeless gear is good mid game gear until you start on Sweetwater, but that is much later down the line. You can craft your own Timeless so that you can add a stimulant and gems, which will increase its stats. Timeless gear also goes to level 6; you can get exp on the gear by just getting exp normally either through bossing or grinding mobs. Each level can give you stats, but there’s RNG involved so your final product can greatly vary.

It also drops a WS, a CS, has a high chance of dropping MW20/30 and COC30, and gives 50 SP upon kill, so it’s very worth doing if you're able to join a group.

cygnus.png
Similar to how Pink Bean drops Timeless gear and Rocks of Time, Empress drops Sweetwater gear and Empress’ Diamonds. It’s also the only place to get the skill books for Explorer’s/Cygnus’ Blessing 100. Sometimes people will sell high roll weapon drops. For low rolls, the weapons are usually dismantled for an Empress’ Diamond. Like Pink Bean, you can only complete Empress once a week per character.

Non-Time Gated

This is a small section for ideas on what to do if you're done with your dailies/weeklies. Obviously, you can go grind following the leveling guide, but for most players, a majority of your exp will come from daily bosses.

monsterbook.pngmonsterbookmedal.png
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend getting enough cards in your monster book to get to +100 all stat. Cards in your purple, black, and yellow tabs will give you all stat. For more detail, you should check out the features page . If you’ve collected 350+ sets of monster cards, you’ll get the Monster Hunter Medal, which gives +5 all stat, 5 watk, and 5 matk. This is a great upgrade until you get the Superior Medal, but that requires you to hit level 250.

ring1.pngring2.png
You can get rings for completing quests. You’ll get a new ring at every 200 quest milestone, with one of the best rings in the game, the Apex Quester Ring coming at 1000 quests. The Legendary Quester Ring at 800 quests is also best in slot.

I don’t really like quests, so this was a massive pain for me. I slowly did them region by region, and in total, it probably took me about 20-30 hours or so. If you’re impatient, you can purchase a Hyper Teleport Rock from the donor shop for 20,000 Maple Points. If you already have a mage on your account for farming, I would recommend doing the quests on that. The mobility and full map attack will help you a lot.

diligentring.png
The Diligent Ring is another best-in-slot ring. Its main appeal is that it has 1 upgrade slot and can be hammered, meaning you can Chaos Scroll it. If you brick your Diligent Ring, you can spend 100 PQ points to reset it with @jarvis.

The grind for the Diligent Ring is pretty long. You need to get six total items to craft it in Maker:
  • A Rice Cake on Top of My Head (Henesys PQ)
  • Squishy Shoes (Kerning PQ)
  • Broken Glasses (Ludibrium PQ)
  • Brilliant Altaire Earrings (Elin Forest PQ)
  • Goddess Wristband (Orbis PQ)
  • Fashionable Lord Pirate Hat (Pirate PQ)
diligentring2.png
HPQ, EPQ, and PPQ can be done solo.
KPQ and OPQ both require three players.
LPQ unfortunately requires five players, one dark sight user, and one mage in the party. This is the most painful, as it requires 35 completions to get the glasses.
Thankfully, all of these PQs can be repeated an unlimited amount of times a day. Your biggest hurdle will probably be LPQ, so try to prioritize that if you're going for your Diligent Ring.

EB50.png
Upon hitting level 200, you'll get a quest from Neinhart in Ereve that lets you get the skill Explorer/Cygnus Blessing. This is a powerful burst skill that has a 2 hour cooldown, but can be reset with a Buccaneer's Time Leap. To gain this skill, you'll need to kill and collect 200 ETC drops from all ten knights in the Knight's Stronghold. To access this area, you have to go to Temple of Time and enter the Gate to the Future. Take the taxi to Ereve Forked Road, and go one map to the right. An informant will block your entry to the Knight's Stronghold, asking that you give him some items in exchange for a Mark of Stronghold that'll be used to enter. For the entry item, you'll need:
  • 100 Mutant Slime Bubble
  • 100 Cursed Slate
  • 100 Giant Tree Branch
  • 100 Mixed Ancient Rubble
If you thought those mobs took a while, wait until you get inside and have to collect 200 ETC from every knight. This is an extremely long quest. Expect to take a few hours to get everything done unless you're extremely strong.

maker.png
The end game gear is Sweetwater, which is incredibly expensive to craft. If we ignore the Empress Diamonds, the biggest hurdle you'll face is farming 1000 powders for non-accessory pieces. I highly recommend making a fourth job mage to farm for powders, otherwise you'll be stuck buying them off the FM. If you know what you're crafting next, you can pre-farm some powders, even if you don't have the Empress Diamonds yet.

dojo.png
From the Dimensional Mirror, you can access Mu Lung Dojo. It's essentially a boss rush, with each kill granting you points. You first have to redeem a White Belt, then spend points upgrading your belt to the next tier. At the end is a Sweetwater Belt, the best belt in the game.

You have an unlimited number of daily entries and you can go in with a party. You can grind for this belt pretty early, but I would only recommend doing it when you feel like you're completing the whole run in a reasonable amount of time.

Summary

This was a pretty big info dump, so if you're a bit dizzy after reading this guide, I don't blame you. If you just want a quick tl;dr, this is what I would recommend for the average player:
  1. Boss Train
  2. @jq
  3. CWKPQ
  4. @weeklies
Joining a boss train is probably the best use of your time, as it has good exp, SP gain, and potential drops.
@jq is a time efficient way to get SP, so if you have some down time I would try to complete a couple. If you hate JQs, skip this.
CWKPQ has great bonus room drops, so it's the most popular PQ by far. However, the bosses are quite beefy for new players and it can be a struggle to set up the proper party comp.
@weeklies is usually a free 70 SP a week, but if you get something annoying like MVPQ and you're not that strong, I would consider skipping it.

If you have any suggestions or feedback, let me know. Happy mapling!
