When creating your items with Maker Skill, you want to use stimulators and strengthening gems to give your item extra stats when crafting.
For items Level 70 and below, you can use 1 strengthening gem when crafting.
For items Level 80 to 100, you can use 2 strengthening gems when crafting.
For items Level 110 and above, you can use 3 strengthening gems when crafting.
Advanced Dark Crystal gives bonus 1-5 stats to armor.
Advanced Black Crystal gives bonus 1-3 attack and stats to weapons.
Stimulators give a bonus of 1-5 attack for weapons. (1-3 for claw & knuckles)
Stimulators give a bonus of 1-2 stats for armors.
You should always use a stimulator when crafting equipments with maker.
- In general, the type of strengthening gems to use when crafting armors Level 80-100 which can only accept 2 strengthening gems are as follows:
- For armors Level 110 and above that can accept 3 strengthening gems, the selection of gems are pretty straightforward:
- There are some other unusual builds that do away with secondary stats and goes for speed/avoidability instead:
- For weapons that deal weapon attack damage, the order of use of strengthening gems is pretty straightforward:
- For weapons that deal magic attack damage, the priority of use of strengthening gems is slightly different:
Now for the main part: how should you farm for ores to craft your equipments?
In YunaMS, the drop rate of crystal and jewel ores are fairly low. However, this is compensated by the fact that you won't fail when upgrading a strengthening gem.
The most efficient way of hunting for ores, is to hunt for more than one type of ore you need in the same map. Ideally, you want the same mob to drop two types of ores that you need. For example, Samiho drops both DEX and Dark crystal ores, so it would be a good choice for bowmans to hunt Samiho, since it drops two of the ores he needs. If you cannot find a mob that drops two ores you want, you can also look for two different monsters in the same map that drops two different ores that you need. For example, Skelegon drops Wisdom crystal ore, while Skelosaurus drops Dark crystal ore and both Skelegon and Skelosaurus are found in the same map. This would be twice as slow as having one mob drop two ores at once, but it is still quite efficient. Therefore, it's a good idea for magicians to hunt Skeles for ores, as it drops both Wisdom and Dark crystal ores.
There is also an order of priority in acquiring ores as you need more of some ores than others. The ores that you need the most of are as follows:
How do I search for mobs that drop two types of ores?
The key is to find duplicates in a list of items, which is what this website does:

- In general, the type of strengthening gems to use when crafting armors Level 80-100 which can only accept 2 strengthening gems are as follows:
Primary stats > Secondary stats
* For Warriors: Power Crystal > Dark Crystal
For example:
- Wisdom & LUK for Magicians
- LUK & DEX for Thiefs
- Power & Garnet/Dark for Warriors (Use Garnet for accuracy if you're missing a lot, use Dark crystal if you want more damage)
- DEX & Power for Bowman
- Power & DEX for Pirates
This is designed for more funded players who do not have issues with secondary stats and wearing high level gear. Consequently, they can afford a good balance of primary and secondary stats from armor instead of just focusing on secondary stats.
* Note that warriors use a different combination of strengthening gems as they don't require secondary stats to equip weapons.
- Another very popular use of strengthening gems is to prioritize secondary stats when crafting armors so as to accumulate enough secondary stats to equip weapons:Secondary stats > Dark crystal
For example:
- LUK & Dark for Magicians
- DEX & Dark for Thiefs
- Garnet/DEX & Dark for Warriors (Use Garnet for accuracy if you're missing a lot, use DEX crystal if you need DEX for Stonetooth Sword)
- Power & Dark for Bowman
- Power & Dark for Gunslinger
- DEX & Dark for Brawler
This build is highly recommended for less funded and beginning players. The purpose of this build is to accumulate as much secondary stats through armor as possible. This will allow us to wear high level weapons while still adding all of our AP into our primary stat. If done correctly, this will allow us to not use AP on secondary stats at all, therefore alleviating the need to AP reset our secondary stat into primary stat later in game once when we get better equipments.
- For armors Level 110 and above that can accept 3 strengthening gems, the selection of gems are pretty straightforward:
Primary stat > Secondary Stats > Dark Crystal
For example:
- Wisdom, LUK & Dark for Magicians
- LUK, DEX & Dark for Thiefs
- Power, Garnet/DEX, & Dark for Warriors (Use Garnet for accuracy if you are missing monsters, use DEX for more damage)
- DEX, Power & Dark for Bowman
- DEX, Power & Dark for Gunslinger
- Power, DEX & Dark for Brawler
- There are some other unusual builds that do away with secondary stats and goes for speed/avoidability instead:
For example:
- LUK, Dark and Opal for Thiefs (Opal increases avoidability)
- Wisdom, Dark and Amethyst for Magicians (Amethyst increases speed)
This build is not popular and not recommended since you sacrifice DPS for a marginal improvement to convenience.
- For weapons that deal weapon attack damage, the order of use of strengthening gems is pretty straightforward:
Diamond > Black Crystal > Primary stat
For example:
- Diamond, Black & LUK for Thiefs
- Diamond, Black & STR/Garnet for Warriors (Use Garnet for accuracy if you are missing monsters, use STR for more damage)
- Diamond, Black & DEX for Bowman
- Diamond, Black & Dex for Gunslinger
- Diamond, Black & STR/Garnet for Brawler (Use Garnet if you need accuracy, use STR for more damage)
- For weapons that deal magic attack damage, the priority of use of strengthening gems is slightly different:
Wisdom > Black Crystal > Sapphire
For example:
- Wisdom & Black Crystal for Magicodar
This would mean that if a weapon can only accept 2 strengthening gems, you would use Wisdom & Black crystal, instead of Sapphire & Black crystal. This is because an increase in INT would give more magic damage increase than a similar increase in magic attack.

- Diamond / Sapphire / Black Crystal - You only need these for weapons

2. Go to Count Duplicates in a List Online Tool and paste the list in the entry box:
3. Copy the list of mobs that drop Dark Crystal Ore from the text file:

You can repeat the steps for more than 2 different items to find the mob that drops 3 or more items that you need.
I have included a list of monsters that drop most relevant ores and magic powders that you can use for this purpose:
