Can you make the "Arrange Item" button in storage make your like-items stack up? i use storage for ores and every time i store them i gotta take them all out and put them back in.

The arrange button now does that job.
Now is it possible to make it so that depositing items puts them in stacks that are already in storage?
So if someone has a full storage they're still able to put items in there of the same kind that are already in there (use/etc)?

This is the intentional behavior, as there was a potential exploit related to doing it the way you have explained. Will keep as is now that we have the button working, thank you!
