Hi Yuna, i'd like to propose some changes to Shadower class.

  • Increase the range of Assasinate
  • Make the 4th attack hit 100%, if the prior 3 attacks hit.
When doing certain expeditions and bosses the 4th hit is not able to land because of position or range. Sometimes we get bumped around in bosses making it unable to hit aswell meaning for most of the time as a Shadower it's easier to skip the 4th hit, but the lack of the only single target DPS we have, makes the class weaker at certain expeditions and bosses. Being put in a position where u have to position urself correctly (and i mean in a tight angled spot where if u move one inch or so it won't work), does put a tall task of playing the class in certain expeditions and bosses.

The damage is mediocre to underwhelming as doing single target DPS, but playing a Shadower that comes with the class excelling in other parts of the game. However this change would mean our single target DPS atleast wouldn't be as scuffed as it is right now.

  • Increase the cast speed of Boomerang Step
At the moment i think Shadowers main excelling point is their multi target DPS, which is BStep + Band of Thieves macro. I'd like the changes to be put in because as a Shadower doing e.g Horntail, we'd leave the wings open for the debuff of the other parts of the body. Which means we'd be put to dmging the Heads instead. As a Shadower we don't really excel in multi target DPS, unless we can hit more than 2 targets, but being on the Heads means there are a lot of gaps where we only either hit 2 or 1 target, when Head A/C goes down. For most other bosses even hitting 3 body parts, Shadowers gets outcontested by a decent margin from other classes that excel in the same point meaning at best we are efficiently over all put into a mediocre spot in terms of the balancing of classes.

  • Make Smokescreen a safespot for Debuffs.
The skill itself says Smokescreen would be a safe haven in terms of debuffs, but how is it that the one skill we get marked as having being OP, doesn't actually work the way it's supposed to be. Overall smokescreen is nice to have, but at the end of the line its just a party stance where no one takes damage. For endgame content such as empress, smoke screen is nice to have, but the skill itself gets overshadowed by other skills such as, Combo Barrier, warriors with their Achilles. SO i 100% think that it would only be fair to put smokescreen the way it's suppose to be and make it a safespot for debuffs.

I'm not seeing much of a need for the increase in cast speed of BStep, since as of right now it appears to be quite fast. As for the others, will do some testing and have an update. Thank you

Additionally, it appears smokescreen ALREADY prevents all debuffs (unless forced upon by a GM). @Raaj can you confirm that this is not the case right now? I just tested as well and looks like all are blocked. Is it possible they're not in the same party perhaps?

David helped brainstorm that we're actually referring to dispel, not debuffs - Smokescreen already prevents debuffs (SEDUCE, CONFUSE, etc), but doesn't prevent dispel (losing all buffs). Will update this!

Ok sounds good, thank you. As for the rest of it. My biggest concern is how at some places as a shad we don't have the option to use 4th crit (which is largely our single target DPS). I'm not sure if its ping related, range related or smth else. Some spots we have to stand in an exact inch correct spot to be able to land the last crit, however we don't come with stance. We get bounced moved from spots and have to move into same spot.

"Some people would argue and say we have shadow shifter, well that doesn't make is untouchable"

My only concern is as bad as our single target DPS is, i just want to be able to use it to an extend that makes it worth it without having to deal with micro tight inch spots to have to stand in <3

I just went on a HT run with the new update to the assassinate skill, but it seems i still have issues landing the 4th hit on several parts of the body :(

Strange, during testing I noticed it was working fine - did you at least notice a difference?
