Gearing on YunaMS is a lot simpler than people think. If you’re experienced with v83 private servers, the quick TL;DR is you go from Maple Weapons > Zakum Weapon > Full Reverse gear > Full Timeless gear > Full Sweetwater gear. If you’re not experienced with v83 private servers, this will be the guide for you. As a general gear guide, you might have some deviations for your specific character that makes certain alternatives better. For most players, this guide will be sufficient, and as long as you’re aiming for Sweetwater, you can’t go wrong.

Most classes have a main stat to weapon attack ratio of roughly 4:1 to 5:1 (e.g. if you’re a warrior, 4 str = 1 watk). For mages, about 1 int = 1 matk. Mage gear is also usually calculated as total magic attack (tma) which is int + matk = tma. If you’re comparing different items on the market, or if you’re not sure what to upgrade next, you can use this rule of thumb.

If you’re ever confused on where to find things or the stats of an item, I recommend using https://yuna-db.net/. You can also use the @whatdropsfrom and @whodrops commands in game.

This isn’t recommended on YunaMS for a variety of reasons.
  • The Monster Book gives +20 accuracy and +100 all stat, which greatly helps with gear stat requirements. More on that below.
  • You can purchase four Aura Rings and one Aura Belt from the Cash Shop. Each item gives +5 all stat, totalling +25 all stat. Since these are a cash item, you can equip them over your regular rings and belts without penalty.
  • Zakum Helms and Scarlion/Targa Helms in the early-mid game will give you at least 13 all stat.
  • Maple Weapons (level 35, 43, 64) and Zakum’s Poisonic Weapons (level 110) do not have any stat requirements.
With all of this in mind, you don’t need to assign any points into your class’ secondary stat. If you still want to, you can reset your AP later with AP resets from the Cash Shop down the line.

If you open up your monster cards, you’ll see that there are tabs on the left with colours. For each completed set you collect (five cards), you’ll be able to get a small boost in stats. The maximum stats you can gain is +100 all stat, +100 WDEF/MDEF, +1000 HP/MP, and +20 ACC/Avoid. You’ll notice that the purple and black tabs consist of high level monsters that give all stat. The gold tab consists of bosses that give the most all stat. If you can, I recommend hunting area bosses to obtain as much all stat as possible. PQ bosses are a lot harder collect cards from.

  • Mano
  • Mushmom
  • Dyle (two maps)
  • Stumpy
  • Faust (two maps)
  • King Klang
  • Zombie Mushmom
  • Snackbar
  • Jr. Balrog
  • Crimson Balrog
  • Grey, Gold, White Yeti and Pepe King
  • Prime Minister
  • Deo
  • Zeno
  • Eliza
  • Snowman
  • Timer (three maps)
  • Tae Roon
  • King Sage Cat
  • Nine-Tailed Fox
  • Seruf
  • Blue Mushmom
Recommended to be level 120+
  • Manon
  • Griffey
  • Pianus
  • Leviathan
  • Dodo
  • Lilynouch
  • Lyka
  • Lord Pirate (PPQ can be solo'd, making this the easiest PQ card to collect)
  • Mu Gong Merits (dojo, requires you to be strong or have a strong party, but you'll be doing this for SW belt anyways)

Once you’ve obtained +100 all stat, you can forget about collecting cards for a long time. This is until you want to grind out the Monster Hunter Medal, which gives 5 all stat, 5 watk, and 5 matk. This medal is obtained after you fully complete 350 sets. You can check your progress with @info.

Your options for rings are fairly limited; you’re likely going to be stuck with Circle of Ancient Strength/Thought for a very long time. I’ll quickly go over some of the best-in-slot (BiS) rings that you can work towards at any level.

Quest Rings

You can get rings for completing quests. You’ll get a new ring at every 200 quest milestone, with one of the best rings in the game, the Apex Quester Ring coming at 1000 quests. The Legendary Quester Ring at 800 quests is also best in slot.

I don’t really like quests, so this was a massive pain for me. I slowly did them region by region, and in total, it probably took me about 20-30 hours or so. If you’re impatient, you can purchase a Hyper Teleport Rock from the donor shop for 20,000 Maple Points. If you already have a mage on your account for farming, I would recommend doing the quests on that. The mobility and full map attack will help you a lot.

Diligent Ring

The Diligent Ring is another best-in-slot ring. Its main appeal is that it has 1 upgrade slot, meaning you can Chaos Scroll it. If you're a watk class, you'll want to aim for 8+ watk. If you're a matk class, you'll want to aim for 16+ tma. If you brick your Diligent Ring, you can spend 100 PQ points to reset it with @jarvis.

The grind for the Diligent Ring is pretty long. You need to get six total items to craft it in Maker:
  • A Rice Cake on Top of My Head (20 Henesys PQs)
  • Squishy Shoes (RNG drop from Kerning PQ boss)
  • Broken Glasses (35 Ludibrium PQs)
  • Brilliant Altaire Earrings (10 Elin Forest PQs + Glittering Altaire Earrings from the the PQ point shop in @jarvis)
  • Goddess Wristband (20 Orbis PQs)
  • Fashionable Lord Pirate Hat (60 Pirate PQs)
For all of these PQs excluding KPQ, you'll get an ETC item after each clear. You can usually exchange these ETC with the NPC that starts the PQ for the item required for the ring. In the case of PPQ, you need to talk to the NPC at the end of the PQ to exchange for the hat.
HPQ, EPQ, and PPQ can be done solo.
KPQ and OPQ both require three players.
LPQ unfortunately requires five players, one dark sight user, and one mage in the party. This is the most painful, as it requires 35 completions to get the glasses.
Thankfully, all of these PQs can be repeated an unlimited amount of times a day. Your biggest hurdle will probably be LPQ, so try to prioritize that if you're going for your Diligent Ring.

White Angelic Blessing Ring (WAB)

1729810962991.png
WAB is crafted by Dr. Ooof at Knight District 2 in Future Ereve. This ring has a level requirement of 180 and is very expensive to craft. Since it has up to 5 upgrade slots with hammers, you'll be Chaos Scrolling many WABs in search for a high watk one in the future.

Your end-game rings should be the final two quest rings, a Diligent Ring, and a White Angelic Blessing Ring.

There aren't many worthwhile medals in the game. The first one you'll get around level 40, when you complete Mushroom Kingdom for the Mushroom Kingdom Guardian Title which gives +2 all stat.

One medal that you can farm for is the Monster Hunter Medal. This medal gives 5 all stat, 5 watk, 5 matk. I highly recommend getting this medal, as it'll be better than the level 200 medals and getting to 250 is a long grind. You need to complete 350 monster card sets for this, and you can check your progress with @info.

If you don't get the Monster Hunter Medal, you'll get an upgrade at level 200. You can get it from Dalair in most major towns. Watk classes will get a title that gives 3 watk, and mages will get a title that gives 8 matk.

At level 250, you'll get the Superior Medal, which is 10 all stat, 10 watk, 10 matk.

Level 1-29

If you’re a warrior or brawler, you might struggle a little bit with accuracy without any DEX.
  • You can buy Sniper Pills from Ludibrium’s potion shop
  • Work on your monster cards. Work on the red tab until you get +20 accuracy, then slowly work on your all stat tabs
  • Scroll your starter bathrobe with DEX. To buy scrolls, go to The Swamp of Despair II and buy them from Tulcus
  • Purchase four Aura Rings and one Aura Belt from the Cash Shop
  • Face/eye for dex/accuracy. These are gacha exclusive items, so the best way to find these would be through the FM
  • Cirlce of Ancient Strength rings from Mushroom Kingdom
  • As a last resort, you can throw AP into DEX and reset it later by buying AP Resets from the Cash Shop
Until your second job advancement, not much is really going on. You could buy weapons from Perion (warrior), Henesys (archer), Ellinia (mage), Kerning City (thief), or Nautilus Harbor (pirate). You can also just use whatever you pick up off the floor. Make sure to equip the bathrobe that everybody gets in their inventory at level 20. If you’re a class that uses DEX and you have 350k, you can buy ten Overall Armor for DEX 100% to get a 10 DEX bathrobe.

If you've been voting and you have spare NX, you can purchase four Aura Rings and an Aura Belt from the Cash Shop. These give +5 all stat each and cost 15,000 NX each. This is a big damage boost in the early-mid game, so I recommend buying these after you've bought a pet.

Level 30-69

Once you hit level 30, you’ll be doing the Mushroom Kingdom quest line since it gives boosted experience on YunaMS. This quest line is great for new players because of the final bosses at the end: Yeti and King Pepe and Prime Minister. Since there are three colours of Yeti and King Pepe, you can collect four sets of boss cards here, equalling +12 all stat. You’re probably not strong enough to kill these in a timely manner, so you can come back later to collect these.

Additionally, Yeti and King Pepe can drop Circle of Ancient Thought and Circle of Ancient Strength. These are great beginner rings that can give you anywhere from 1-3 main stat. These rings are not unique, so you can equip up to four of them for a total of +12 main stat.

At level 35, 43, and 64, you can hunt for Maple Weapons. These items do not require secondary stats to equip. Warriors and brawlers will especially want these as they provide a large amount of accuracy. You can do @whodrops or you can purchase them with PQ points through @jarvis. If you’re unsure of what the name of your Maple Weapon is called, you can look through the PQ point shop as a complete list is there.

At level 50, go buy a Zakum Helmet. If you’ve been selling all of the useless equips to NPCs while levelling, you might have enough to buy one off from a shop in the FM. Also at level 50, you can use @jarvis and receive your level 50 reward, which is a 2 all stat maple leaf.

Example Gear:

Weapon: Maple Weapon
Hat: Zakum Helmet
Gloves: Mushroom Kingdom Gloves (1 watk, 2matk)
Face: 8th Anniversary Maple Leaf
Medal: Mushroom Kingdom Guardian
Ring: Circle of Ancient Thought / Circle of Ancient Strength + Aura Rings
Belt: Aura Belt
Everything else: 💩

Level 70-119

If you don’t have a Zakum Helmet yet, you can purchase a Scarlion/Targa Hat at level 80. These go up to 19 for the specified stat, but if you already have a Zakum Helmet it probably isn’t worth the meso. At level 100 you can purchase a Chaos Scarlion/Targa Hat which goes up to 31 main stat. I wouldn’t recommend a Chaos Zakum Helmet unless there aren’t any Chaos Scarga ones in the FM, as they’re just worse. I would only ever consider a CZHelm if you’re really hurting on secondary stat requirements.

If you have PQ points, purchase a level 105 Maple Pyrope weapon from @jarvis. Otherwise, at level 110 you can swap to Zakum’s Poisonic weapons. These items are exclusive to Normal Zakum, a commonly fought expedition boss. These items require a Scissor of Karma to be tradeable, which can be purchased from the Cash Shop for vote nx. Since most sellers won’t put in the nx investment, you’re better off asking around if anyone or smegaing has one of these weapons and offer to buy it. Outside of this, you can equip any weapon you find that is better than your current Maple Weapon.

For earrings, claim your Free Spirit Earrings from the level 100 leveling milestone.

A fairly cheap upgrade would be a cape and glove with weapon attack. Pink Adventurer Cape (1-3 watk), Pink Gaia Cape (2-4 watk), and Blackfist Cloaks (BFC; 3-5 watk) can be commonly found in FM. You might also be able to find Stormcaster Gloves (4-6 watk) or a scrolled Brown Work Glove (0 watk, 7 slots) in the FM. You can probably find some gloves under 10 watk for really cheap, or you could buy scrolls and scroll your own.

Outside of what I’ve listed above, there’s not really much you can do for yourself. You can try to browse the FM; there are a few gacha-exclusive items that you might be able to grab as a quick upgrade (e.g. Crescent Moon Belt, Enlighten Mark, etc). I didn’t want to include them in this guide because of how rare they are.

Mage gearing will be a bit different. Mages have access to Elemental Staffs and Wands. Each staff/wand has a 25-40% boost to one element and 10-20% boost to another. For example, if you’re a fire/poison mage, you’ll want the red ones that boost fire damage by 25% and poison damage by 10%. Clerics and bishops can use any elemental weapon as they all boost holy. There are elemental weapons at level 70, 103, 130, and 163. I highly recommend trying to buy one for your appropriate level and element if you can find it.

Instead of watk capes, there’s Purple Adventurer Cape (6-8 matk) which is gacha exclusive, so your best shot at getting one is buying one from the FM. I’m sure there are a few other capes out there that give INT/matk, so just find whatever you can and use that.

For earrings, you can skip the Free Spirit Earrings and farm Earring for INT 30% from Black Kentasaurus. Stock up a couple dozen of these scrolls then go buy some cheap earrings from Henesys. If you pass three scrolls, that would be 9 INT and 15 matk or 24 total magic attack and last you a very long time.

For gloves, you can buy Glitter Gloves off the FM. They range from 4-6 INT and matk. You can buy a cheap pair and sit on them until you're strong enough to farm Glove for Magic Attack 60%s.

Example Gear:

Weapon: Zakum’s Poisonic Weapon / Maple Pyrope Weapon / Elemental Staff or Wand
Hat: Normal or Chaos Zakum / Normal or Chaos Scarlion / Normal or Chaos Targa Helmet
Gloves: Mushroom Kingdom Gloves / Stormcaster Gloves / Brown Work Gloves / Glitter Gloves
Cape: Pink Adventurer Cape / Pink Gaia Cape / BFC / Any matk cape for mages
Earrings: Free Spirit Earrings
Pendant: HTP
Rings: Circle of Ancient Thought / Circle of Ancient Strength + Aura Rings
Belt: Aura Belt
Medal: Mushroom Kingdom Guardian (2 all stat)
Everything else: Whatever you can find while grinding.

Level 120 - 159

Before we go any further, it’s important that you get your Maker skill. From this point on, most of your gear will come from crafting through Maker. You can find the prequests for it here. You’ll be spending a lot of time at these levels, so I’ll go over each individual piece.

Reverse is a level 120 set of gear that can be crafted with Maker. If you equip it and fight mobs/bosses, you’ll level up your piece, giving you a random amount of stats. Reverse goes up to level 4, so each piece can level three times.

Weapon: Craft a reverse weapon with a stimulator. Go farm your 60% watk scrolls and slam them all into your weapon. If it goes really poorly, you can craft another weapon and try again, but I wouldn’t sweat it too much.

Shield: If you're a shield class, you've probably been using any shield you picked up until now. Shield scroll 30% and 60% for weapon and magic attack are obtained from Ninja Castle mobs in Zipangu. If you have a 4th job mage, I would recommend farming here. For warriors, I would farm either Maple Shields (lvl20) or Maple Warrior Shield (lvl64). These shields all have 10 slots, so you can slam some 30%s and then finish it off with 60%s, depending on what you have the patience for. For Shadowers, aim for a Khanjar or Dragon Khanjar, whatever you can afford. Khanjars drop from CWKPQ, while DKhanjars drop from certain bosses.

Hat: Chaos Scarlion/Targa will be your best helmet until end game. It can go up to 31 main stat for its indicated stat. You can buy a cheap one with less than 31 stat and sit on it for now, or you could try to save up for a 30/31 stat one.

Overall: Reverse overall crafted with maker. You should add a stimulator, but you don’t need to add gems or scroll this. If you’re a dex class, you can use 100% DEX scrolls since they’re from an NPC.

Gloves: Continue to use whatever you have that gives watk. If you’re really hurting in this department and you’re a good mobbing class, I recommend going to Galloperas and farming there. There’s good mob density and it drops Gloves for ATT 60% and Magic ATT 60%.

Shoes: Reverse shoes give about 4-5 main stat, depending on what class you are. This is equal to about 1-1.2 weapon attack. You can craft reverse shoes with a stimulator and level it up to see if it has good stats, but you’re probably not getting much higher than 8-10 main stat. I would recommend trying to find a 2-3 watk Facestomper in the FM, but these can be very pricy.

Cape: Any watk cape you find is acceptable.

Earrings: Clean Rex’s Earrings from @sp are pretty good. If you don't want to spend the SP, you can stick with your Free Spirit Earrings.

Pendant: Horntail Pendant (HTP) is a pretty common goal. This can give you up to 23 all stat after it’s been egged. A Mark of Naricain (MoN) would be better, as it can have up to 11 watk. However, these are exclusive to Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest (CWKPQ) which requires a prequest and a fairly strong team.

Face: Papulatus Mark from Chaos Papulatus. CPap has a little under 75m total HP, so it might take you a long time to do this. However, with a small party of people around your level, you can easily take this boss on.

Eye: Whatever you find from FM.

Rings: Circle of Ancient Strength/Thought. Now that you’re strong and/or have money, you can scroll this with 70%s, which can be farmed from Kerning Square, or with 100%s. The 100% scrolls only drop from MVPQ, and since MV has 300M HP, you’d need a decently strong team to do this PQ in a reasonable amount of time. Not a priority slot, so you can skip scrolling this for now.

Belt: You have the option of doing dojo, but at this level you’re heavily reliant on your party to do most of the damage for you. Grab whatever belt you can if you’d like, but this slot isn’t easy to upgrade until level 160.

Medal: You can upgrade your medal to the level 120 medal, which gives a bit more HP/MP compared to the Mushroom Kingdom one.

Example Gear:

Weapon: Reverse Weapon scrolled with 60%s
Shield: Maple Warrior scrolled with 60%s or DKhanjar (Shadower)
Hat: Chaos Scarlion/Targa Helmet
Overall: Reverse Overall
Gloves: SCG/BW
Shoes: Reverse or Facestompers
Cape: BFC or equivalent
Earrings: Rex’s Earrings
Pendant: HTP/MoN
Face: Papulatus Mark
Rings: Circle of Ancient Strength/Thought + Aura Rings
Belt: Aura Belt

Generally speaking, scrolling armors is more important for mages since 1 INT = 1 matk. For watk classes, a 60% scroll that gives 2 STR/DEX/LUK only gives 0.5 watk, so it’s not as valuable for them.

Weapon: Appropriate elemental wand/staff. Remember these come at levels 70, 103, 130, and 163.

Shield: Now that you're 4th job, you can start to farm shield scroll 30% and 60% for magic attack, which are obtained from Ninja Castle mobs in Zipangu. If you have a 4th job mage, I would recommend farming here. For warriors, I would farm either Maple Shields (lvl20) or Maple Magician Shield (lvl 64). These shields all have 10 slots, so you can slam some 30%s and then finish it off with 60%s, depending on what you have the patience for.

Hat: Chaos Scarga Helm (INT) will be your best hat for a long time. I recommend going for a high INT one (30-31 INT), then farming Helmet for INT 60%s from Death Teddy. They’ll also drop cape scrolls for you.

Gloves: Glitter gloves are still good. You can scroll them with 60%s if you’d like. I recommend farming those scrolls from Galloperas as they also drop Gloves for Weapon ATT 60%. If you can’t find a cheap pair, craft Reverse Gloves with a stimulator.

Shoes: Reverse shoes with a stimulator. No gems or scrolls required.

Cape: Goldensoul Cape (7-9 INT and 7-9 matk) drops from CWKPQ. You can farm Death Teddy for Cape for INT 60%s, as they also drop Helmet for INT 60%s.

Earrings: Low level earrings scrolled with 30%s, or Rex’s.

Pendant: Horntail Pendant (HTP) is a pretty common goal. This can give you up to 23 all stat after it’s been egged.

Face: Papulatus Mark from Chaos Papulatus. CPap has a little under 75m total HP, so it might take you a long time to do this. However, with a small party of people around your level, you can easily take this boss on.

Rings: Circle of Ancient Thought scrolled with 70%s or 100%s. Since 1 INT = 1 matk, these scrolls are actually a relevant part of your damage, so I would recommend farming a bunch of 3 INT rings then slamming them with 70%s. If you’re interested in the diligent / quest rings, you can skip these.

Example Gear:

Weapon: Elemental staff/wand scrolled with 60%s
Hat: Chaos Scarlion/Targa Helmet scrolled with 60%s
Overall: Reverse Overall
Gloves: Glitter Gloves
Shoes: Reverse Shoes
Cape: Golsdensoul Cape
Earrings: Rex’s Earrings
Pendant: HTP
Face: Papulatus Mark
Rings: Circle of Ancient Thought + Aura Rings
Belt: Aura Belt

Level 160-199

Level 160 is when you can start wearing Timeless equipment. Similar to Reverse, each piece can level up, but Timeless goes to a max level of 6 instead. Timeless gear is significantly more expensive than Reverse, as each piece requires a Rock of Time, a Pink Bean exclusive drop. Weapons and shields will require three. Outside of upgrading from Reverse to Timeless, there aren’t many upgrades to be had.

Weapon: Timeless weapon. Definitely scroll this with 60%s and use a stim when crafting, or just buy a wep from the FM. I wouldn't use advanced gems to craft, as you’re likely making a Sweetwater Weapon once you hit 200. If you have the extra ores, you can use a basic/intermediate diamond and black crystal if you'd like. For mages, use a new Elemental Staff/Wand at level 163.

Shield: If you don’t have a shield at this point, you can buy a Timeless one off the FM. I would not recommend making one as it would cost 3 Rocks of Time. I much prefer farming Maple Shields and slamming them with 30%s and 60%s, but it’s up to you.

Hat: Chaos Scarlion/Targa Helmet. At this point, you should aim to scroll this with 60%s. If your helmet turns out really bad, buy/farm a new one and go again. The next upgrade isn’t significantly stronger but is considerably more expensive, so try to aim for a good helmet. For mages, this is higher in priority, so farming Chaos Scarga for backup helms is pretty important.

Overall: Timeless overall. Craft with a stimulator and scroll with 60%s. Depending on your level ups, this piece also won’t be that much worse than your next upgrade. You’re free to use a basic or intermediate STR/DEX/INT/LUK crystal and dark crystal if you’d like, since you’ll be holding onto this piece for a while. If you want more info about gem usage, there’s a section on that below.

Gloves: If your current gloves aren't amazing, I recommend making a Timeless glove with a stimulator or buying one off the FM. Each level up ranges from 0-3 watk, so you could end up with a 15 watk glove, albeit extremely unlikely. If you’re happy with how much watk your glove turned out, you can scroll it with 60%s and keep it. The same logic applies to mages; if your current gloves aren't great you can make or buy Timeless gloves and level them up.

Shoes: Timeless shoes or Facestompers. Mages don’t really have any alternatives to Timeless.

Pendant: At level 160 you can equip a Chaos Horntail Pendant (CHTP), which is an exclusive drop from Chaos Horntail. Not only is this hard to obtain, it’s expensive to scroll. Chaos Horntail is difficult because of its high health bar, annoying DRs, mass seduce, and 5 death limit. To scroll it, you need a Chaos Dragon Stone (CDS) which only drops once per run. Clean CHTP can go up to 11 watk, with all three slots CDS’d it would be 26 watk. If you can easily get into runs, wait until you get a 11watk and scroll the first slot with a CDS. If it passes, hammer it twice and use a CDS + White Scroll on the remaining slots. If it fails, simply get a new one.

Rings: At this point, I would start thinking about your Diligent Ring and quest rings. There’s a dedicated section for them at the top of this guide.

White Angelic Blessing (WAB) is available at level 180, however it’s not a priority for now. Just putting this here, but you won’t be making your own for quite some time because of how expensive it is. You might be able to find cheap low watk ones on the FM.

Belt: Enraged Zakum Belt from Chaos Zakum has a level 160 requirement. Aim for a 2 watk belt, but I would not recommend chaos scrolling it. If you can find parties, try to do dojo and get a Black Belt which has 5 watk. For mages, the Enraged Zakum Belt is pretty good so you can keep that for a while.

Example Gear:

Weapon: Timeless Weapon or Elemental staff/wand scrolled with 60%s
Hat: Chaos Scarlion/Targa Helmet scrolled with 60%s
Overall: Timeless Overall scrolled with 60%s
Gloves: SCG or BW or Timeless Gloves scrolled with 60%s
Shoes: Timeless Shoes or Facestompers
Cape: BFC or Goldensoul Cape
Earrings: Rex’s Earrings
Pendant: HTP or MoN
Face: Papulatus Mark
Rings: Circle of Ancient Thought + Aura Rings
Belt: Black Belt or Enraged Zakum Belt + Aura Belt

Level 200+

Level 200 allows you to equip Sweetwater gear. There’s quite a bit of gear here, and since every character’s gear is different, it’s hard to give an accurate progression guide. A lot of your endgame scrolling will use White Scrolls (WS) and Chaos Scrolls (CS), so I’ll quickly go over those.

Whenever you use a scroll, you use up one upgrade slot, regardless of if you pass or fail. If you scroll while using a WS, you’ll be protected if the scroll fails. For example:
  • Using a 15% scroll and it passes, you’ll use up both the 15% scroll and the WS and lose one upgrade slot.
  • Using a 15% scroll and it fails, you’ll use up both the 15% scroll and the WS, but the number of remaining slots will not change.
This is an important mechanic, as you’ll be buying 15% scrolls from Jarvis and protecting it with WS a lot in the endgame.

AD_4nXdJ0oYaPyQ_s-qmE8ZZcMjF0vcziFOrq77_6SlLmGjfOr3e0_kYMBZBAQt5SDxEVVppTxq9iW2B00wU_1VQJ5D-l_bPEc2NPHJLqyMKKfLSsSuv3XhyQNyRQINqn_0rBt44L8t8KYx1d-VNVfrwhqME_PI

CS adds -5 to +5 of every stat on a weapon. For example, for this Sweetwater Monocle, you’ll add -5 to +5 for all stats, watk, matk, wdef, and mdef. If you were to craft a Sweetwater Monocle using a gem that gives avoid, the CS would also give -5 to +5 on avoid, even though it’s not originally on the piece. CSing is mainly for accessories, where gaining watk is extremely difficult.

For easy upgrades, you could aim to get a couple of clean accessories.
  • Sweetwater Monocle (eye) will probably be a sizable upgrade for you if you don’t already have an eye accessory. Monocle has 10 all stat, 2watk, 2matk.
  • Sweetwater Belt is a big upgrade over the Black Belt and is your BiS. This is farmed from dojo points. This is 10 all stat, 8watk, 12 matk. If you're a mage, an Enraged Zakum Belt can be very similar with one more upgrade slot.
  • For your rings, you’ll want the quest rings from 800 and 1000 quests, and the Diligent Ring. The last ring slot can be whatever you have lying around for now until you can afford to make a White Angelic Blessing (WAB) ring.
Other Sweetwater accessories aren’t a significant upgrade if you already have older pieces. However, if you have nothing in that slot, you could craft a clean Sweetwater accessory.

After this point, you're done with quick upgrades, so the main goal is to get your weapon. First off, we need to talk about crafting gems.

When crafting gear, you can add a stimulator for most pieces, along with three gems/crystals. Each gem greatly spikes the meso cost of the craft, so only add gems for pieces you'll be using for a long time. You can see them in the “Strengthen” tab in Maker. You might notice there are three tiers: basic, intermediate, and advanced. When crafting gems/crystals, there’s a small chance of skipping a tier. If you need more info, I highly recommend reading the Maker section on the features page.
Some of the stats from Maker are random and aren’t listed in game, so this is the correct list of stats for YunaMS:
  • MA/WA +0-2 for Stimulator
  • All stats +0-2 for Stimulator
  • MA/WA +0-6 for Advanced Black Crystal
  • All stats +0-5 for Advanced Dark Crystal
Watk/matk gems will only work on weapons, so the gems/crystals you use will differ between weapons and other equips. I’ll specify what gems to use in each section.

You'll need to farm 1000 powders for your weapon, shield, gloves, overall, and hat. I'll quickly go over some of the popular grinding spots, the reasoning behind them, and where I grind. Common factors to consider include spawn density, looting difficulty, mesos dropped, @sellall equip meso, and other ore/powder drops. Having a 4th job mage spamming their FMA is mandatory for farming powders at a decent speed. Note that Blaze Wizards are slightly superior than the other classes in this aspect, as their FMA hits 15 targets instead of 10.

There is one obvious winner here and it's Samihos at Moon Ridge. Good spawn density, easy looting as it's basically two long platforms, and really great drops as Samihos also drop opal, DEX, and dark crystals. Nothing else comes close to how good this map is.

The Book Ghost at Foggy Forest has the best spawn rate for blue powders. Its only other notable drop is black crystal ores. If you're only looking for blue powders, this is the best spot for it.

Saitie at Authorized Personnel Only is where I farmed for blue powders because it's lazier than Book Ghosts. In addition to blue powder, Saities also drop wisdom crystals, sapphire ore, CSS 1%, and Claw for ATT 30%.

Neo Huroid at Alcadno Research Institute - Lab - Area C-3 is where I farmed for green powders. The only notable drop is Gloves for ATT 60%. The meso/hour is just okay. I have not personally tried farming any other mobs, but I've heard people try Jr. Wraith and Cellions as well.

Wraiths at Kerning City Subway have the best mob density. They also drop dark crystal ore and Summoning Rocks. Overall a fairly low meso area; I would only recommend if you need brown powders as soon as possible.

Homunculus at Zenumist Research Institute - Lab - Unit 202 is my preferred location. Homunculus drop LUK crystals as well, which you'll probably need if you're a thief. Helmet for INT 60%, Crossbow for ATT 60%, Knuckler for ATT 60%, Claw for ATT 30%, and Helmet for STR 60% are all decent scrolls with some value as well.

There are a couple of okay spots for purple powders and everyone has their preference.

Ligators at Swamp of Despair III are easy, but requires six platforms of looting. The only other notable drop from Ligators is aquamarine ore, and the meso/hour is really poor as the equips dropped are low level.

Chronos at Path of Time 2 are also okay, but it's a fairly big map. I recommend farming on a mage and looting with a different character on the same map. It's only good drop is DEX crystals and its meso/hour is also rather poor.

Jr. Newties at Destroyed Dragon Nest is my preferred location. Although it doesn't drop as many equips as the other two spots, the equips are higher level and thus NPC for more meso. For notable drops, there's wisdom crystals, Summoning Rocks, opal ore, CSS1%, and Supreme Shards. The map can be annoying to loot, and because of how Jr. Newties work you'll need to FMA twice per wave. Blaze Wizard is recommended as there are more than 10 mobs if you stand on the middle platform.

Sweetwater weapons requires:
  • Three Empress Diamonds, exclusively dropped from Empress or obtained by disassembling a Sweetwater weapon/shield
  • 1000 coloured powders
  • 50 Supreme Monster Crystals (crafted in Maker under ETC or bought using @sp)
  • 30 Spirit Coins (bought using @sp)
  • Over 200m meso
This is a massive investment, and if you’ve been smart, this is what you’ve been saving for. The powder colour is dependent on your class.
For warrior weapons, you’ll need 1000 red powders.
For archer weapons, you’ll need 1000 green powders.
For mage weapons, you’ll need 1000 blue powders.
For thief weapons, you’ll need 1000 brown powders.
For pirate weapons, you’ll need 1000 purple powders.

Empress Cygnus can also drop weapons. I'll talk briefly about buying vs crafting your own in the sections below.

For watk classes, you’ll use an advanced diamond, advanced black crystal, and advanced STR/DEX/LUK crystal, depending on your class. With +0 to +2 stimulator, +3 diamond, +0 to +6 advanced black, the watk for your weapon will range from +3 to +11 from what is shown in Maker. This is a pretty big range, but since this is your end-game weapon you’ll want to aim for at least +7, which is average. If you hit a +3 or +4, you might consider disassembling it with Maker to get one Empress Diamond back. However, you won’t get back any other materials, so try to sell it off first.

As an Empress drop, each weapon can range from -5 to +5 watk from its average. For example, a Sweetwater Bow with an average of 132 watk, can range from 127 to 137 watk. A dropped weapon will also have less main stat than a crafted one, as you can't use an advanced STR/DEX/LUK crystal. However, these weapons are significantly cheaper than crafting it yourself; you can often find one for slightly more than the price of an Empress Diamond. If you're not a super hardcore player, finding a +4 or +5 weapon for your class can be a viable option to start scrolling.

For mages, you have a couple of gem options, so let's go over the stat boosts you can get from crafting.
  • Stimulator gives 0-2 INT and 0-2 matk
  • Advanced wisdom gives +5 INT
  • Advanced dark gives 0-5 INT
  • Advanced black gives 0-6 matk
  • Advanced sapphire gives 3 matk
Since 1 INT is roughly 1 matk, advanced sapphire isn't as good as advanced diamond is for watk users. The first option is to go advanced wisdom, dark, and sapphire (+5 to +12 INT, +3 to +5 matk). The second option is to go advanced wisdom, dark, and black (+5 to +12 INT, +0 to +8 matk). Both options are fine, but using an advanced black is more RNG. Since this is your end game weapon and you don't want to perfect a second one down the line, you might consider disassembling or selling your weapon if it rolls poorly. Disassembling will net you one Empress Diamond back, but you won't get back any other materials.

As an Empress drop, each weapon can range from -5 to +5 matk and -2 to +2 INT from its average. A perfect Sweetwater Staff drop would be 17 INT and 207 matk. A perfect crafted staff would have 27 INT and 210 matk with an advanced black crystal, resulting in a 13 tma difference. A dropped weapon will always be significantly cheaper than crafting your own, so if you're not a hardcore, purchasing an above average weapon can be a viable option.

Also, there's no difference between SW Staff and Wand. Use whatever looks prettier to you.

Once you’re happy with your weapon, it’s time to start scrolling it. You’ll be using 15% scrolls obtained from Jarvis, as well as a WS for each scroll. The goal is to perfect your weapon with 15%s protected with a WS for a total of +9 with hammers. On average, it’ll take you about 60 scrolls and WS to get to +9, or about 4800 SP.

After you’ve completed your weapon, you'll want to upgrade your gloves, pendant, and shield (if you’re a one-handed class). However, the order can change a bit depending on your current gear. For example, if you already have 20 watk and no CHTP, you can go for a SW Pendant first.

To craft SW gloves, you’ll need:
  • One Empress Diamond
  • 1000 purple powders
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystals
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • Over 200m meso
For watk classes, you’ll want to use a stimulator, advanced STR/DEX/LUK crystal, and advanced dark crystal.
The last gem slot is preference. Most classes go for advanced opal, which is buffed on YunaMS to give +25 avoid. The more you dodge, the more up-time you’ll have as you won’t need to reposition as much. This is especially helpful in bosses like CHT where you’ll get knocked off platforms a lot. For classes with Power Stance, you opt for an advanced amethyst which is also buffed to give +15 speed. You could also use STR/DEX/LUK crystal that isn't your main stat. For example, if you were an archer, you could use both a STR and DEX crystal. This is because glove scrolls give watk, so you could transfer this glove to a STR based class without compromising on damage.
Since a stimulator is 0-2 watk, your glove can range from 12 to 14 watk. If you get a 12 watk glove with low stats, you might consider remaking. You can disassemble your SW glove to get one Empress Diamond back, but nothing else.

If you're a one-handed warrior class or a shadower, you'll unfortunately have to perfect a shield. With hammers, shields have 12 upgrade slots, which means it costs about 6400 SP to perfect. Not to mention, similar to weapons, shields cost three Empress Diamonds to craft. This is a massive cost, so I'll talk about Empress drops as alternatives as well. The requirements to craft a shield are:
  • 150 Piece of Time
  • 1500 ETC from a Future Henesys mob
  • 50 Supreme Monster Crystal
  • 3 Empress Diamonds
  • Over 200m meso
The SW Warrior Shield is 20 STR, 16 watk average. As an Empress drop, it can range from 18-22 STR and 14-18 watk. As a craft with stim and advanced STR/dark/amethyst, it can range from 25-32 STR, 16-18 watk.

For warriors, you have the option to craft. If you compare a perfect Empress drop to a perfect crafted shield, you lose up to 10 STR, which is about 2.5 watk. If you can find a decently priced shield on the market, I would highly recommend buying it, as going through the RNG of shield crafting is a miserable experience.

The SW Thief Shield is 20 Luk, 30 watk average. As an Empress drop, it can range from 18-22 LUK and 27-33 watk. As a craft with a stim and advanced LUK/dark/opal, it can range from 25-32 LUK, 30-32 watk.

If we compare a perfect Empress drop to a crafted thief shield, you lose 10 LUK but gain 1 watk. This is a rather minor difference, so shadowers can buy a 33 watk shield and be happy with it, especially when you look at the price of crafting.

1729808592311.png
Sweetwater Pendant can be crafted via Maker or come as a drop from Empress. As a drop, the all stat ranges from 13-17, and the watk/matk range from 10-14. If you craft one with Maker, there is no variance and it will always come as its average stats as you cannot use a stimulator or gems.

A 14 watk SW Pendant is very rare. With 1.2x drop, there's only a 60% chance it drops from Empress, there's a 1/3 chance of it having 14 watk, and you have to roll for it against the other players in your expedition. If you're at this stage, I would recommend crafting one. SW Pendants have 5 upgrade slots with hammers, and can only be upgraded with SW Emeralds.
1729808884967.png
SW Emeralds act as a scroll with a 75% success rate. Each one will improve your SW Pendant by 4 watk, 4 matk, 5 all stat, and some other miscellaneous stats. A maxed out pendant will have 40 all stat, 32 watk, 32 matk.

After your weapon, gloves, shield and pendant are done, it's time to start CSing some gear.

The list of gear that you'll want to start CSing is:
  • Blackfist Cloak (BFC; 3-5 watk)
  • Facestompers (1-3 watk)
  • SW Tattoo (5 all stat, 1 watk)
  • SW Monocle (10 all stat, 2 watk)
  • SW Earring (10 all stat, 2 watk)
  • SW Belt (10 all stat, 8 watk). Can be reset for 10,000 dojo points
  • Diligent Ring (5 all stat, 5 watk). Can be reset for 100 PQ points
  • White Angelic Blessing Ring (WAB; 10 all stat, 5 watk)
BFC can be farmed from CWKPQ and GPQ.
Facestompers are a gacha exclusive item.
SW Tattoo, Monocle, and Earring can be crafted in Maker with some boss proofs, Supreme Monster Crystals, Spirit Coins, and ETC items from mobs in Future Henesys/Perion. You have the option of adding gems, but you'll greatly increase the cost. Only do this if you're super rich and like burning money.
SW Belt is from farming dojo.
Diligent Ring is crafted from Maker with items from various PQs, more info at the top of this guide.
WAB is crafted by Dr. Ooof at Knight District 2 in Future Ereve for 1 Empress Diamond, 1 RoT, 1 WS, 30 Piece of Time, and 100m meso.

There is the option to make SW Capes/Shoes, but they're a massive price spike from BFC and Facestompers that you won't be considering that for a very long time. I would recommend CSing every piece once, at least until you get a one positive watk roll. If your piece loses watk, you should sell it and find/craft a new one to CS. Once each piece has about +5 or more watk from its base, you can go for another round of CS or work on your overall and hat.

In a recent update, Yuna added some new 15% scrolls for the slots you normally chaos:
  • Earring (+2 watk)
  • Belt (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Cape (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Eye (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Face (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Shoes (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
For watk classes, these scrolls are mediocre at best. However, if you're getting close to finishing off a piece and you just want the upgrade, you can use these with WS to finish it off.

After you have 1-2 good CS rolls on all your gear, it's probably time to start on your SW overalls. Like your other gear, you'll be using an advanced STR/DEX/LUK crystal, advanced dark crystal, advanced opal/amethyst. Since each scroll is +5 main stat and overalls have 12 slots with hammers, it'll cost on average 6400 SP for 60 stat, or about 15 watk. I would start working on overall once you're content with CSing your gear and want a guaranteed upgrade.

SW Hat is a considerably worse upgrade, as each 15% scroll only gives +3. Leave this slot for the far future unless your current hat is really garbage.

Reminder that SW overall and hat require one Empress Diamond and 1000 blue and red powders respectively, along with a few other things to spike the cost. This is a big investment for the amount of stats you get, so I recommend postponing these pieces until much later unless your current pieces are really bad.

As a mage, your priority after the weapon is a bit different. Generally speaking, the most important pieces are shield, overall, and earring.

Unlike watk, users, you'll definitely want to craft your own shield with the right gems. A clean Sweetwater Mage Shield gives 18 INT and 18 matk. With a stimulator, advanced wisdom, advanced dark, and advanced opal, you'll get 23-30 INT and 18-20 matk. With 12 slots max, this piece will cost 6400 SP on average to perfect.

To craft a shield, you'll need:
  • 150 Piece of Time
  • 1500 Mutant Slime Bubbles
  • 50 Supreme Monster Crystal
  • 3 Empress Diamonds
  • Over 200m meso

To craft a SW overall you need:
  • 1 Empress Diamond
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystal
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • 1000 blue powders
  • Over 200m meso
Use a stimulator, advanced wisdom, advanced dark, and advanced opal to craft. Each scroll gives +5 INT and with 12 slots, this piece will cost 6400 SP on average. If you get a really low INT roll from your advanced dark crystal, and you want to make another overall, you can disassemble it in Maker to get one Empress Diamond back.

Unlike watk users, mages have an excellent scrolling option for earrings. The Earring for INT 15% gives 3 INT and 5 matk, totalling 8 tma per scroll. If your current earrings are really bad and your overall is okay, you can do this first. Like your other pieces, use a stimulator, advanced wisdom, advanced dark, and advanced opal to craft. The requirement to craft accessories is a lot cheaper than main gear pieces:
  • 3 Chaos Zakum proofs
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystals
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • 500 Mutant Tino Feathers
  • 200m to craft if using three advanced gems

To craft SW gloves, you’ll need:
  • One Empress Diamond
  • 1000 purple powders
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystals
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • Over 200m meso
For mages, you'll use a stimulator, advanced wisdom, advanced dark, and advanced opal to craft. The range on your gloves will be 16-18 matk and 19-26 INT. If you’re unhappy with your craft, you can consider remaking it. You can disassemble your SW glove to get one Empress Diamond back, but nothing else. Glove for Magic Atk 15% give 3 INT and 3 matk, for a total of 6 tma.

1729817054611.png
Sweetwater Pendant can be crafted via Maker or come as a drop from Empress. As a drop, the all stat ranges from 13-17, and the watk/matk range from 10-14. If you craft one with Maker, there is no variance and it will always come as its average stats as you cannot use a stimulator or gems.

A high tma SW Pendant is very rare. With 1.2x drop, there's only a 60% chance it drops from Empress, you need it to have high tma, and you have to roll for it against the other players in your expedition. If you're at this stage, I would recommend crafting one. SW Pendants have 5 upgrade slots with hammers, and can only be upgraded with SW Emeralds.
1729817071496.png
SW Emeralds act as a scroll with a 75% success rate. Each one will improve your SW Pendant by 4 watk, 4 matk, 5 all stat, and some other miscellaneous stats. A maxed out pendant will have 40 all stat, 32 watk, 32 matk.

Crafting a SW cape requires:
  • 3 Proof of CHT
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystals
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • 700 Mutant Pork
  • 55m to 200m+ meso depending on gems
YunaMS recently added a Cape for Damage 15% scroll which gives +2 INT and +2 matk. You have the option of crafting with advanced wisdom, dark, opal gems and perfecting it with 15%s and WS. You can still go down the route of CSing the first couple of slots, and if it turns out great then you can finish it with WS.

To craft SW Hat, you’ll need:
  • One Empress Diamond
  • 1000 red powders
  • 30 Supreme Monster Crystals
  • 30 Spirit Coins
  • Over 200m meso
Craft with a stimulator, advanced wisdom, advanced dark, and advanced opal. The Helmet for INT 15% only give +3 INT, so this slot is much lower on your priority list, especially since a well scrolled Chaos Targa (INT) is so good. Just like your other SW gear, if you low roll the INT from the advanced dark crystal, you can disassemble it in Maker to get one Empress Diamond back.

The list of gear that you'll want to start CSing is:
  • SW Shoes (10 all stat, 3 matk)
  • SW Tattoo (5 all stat, 1 matk)
  • SW Monocle (10 all stat, 2 matk)
  • SW Belt (10 all stat, 12 matk). Can be reset for 10,000 dojo points OR
  • Enraged Zakum Belt (16-20 all stat, 0-2 matk)
  • Diligent Ring (5 all stat, 5 matk). Can be reset for 100 PQ points
  • White Angelic Blessing Ring (WAB; 10 all stat, 5 matk)
SW Shoes, Tattoo, and Monocle can be crafted in Maker.
SW Belt is from farming dojo and Enraged Zakum Belt is from Chaos Zakum. The Enraged Zakum belt can be better better, as a max rolled belt has the same tma but has one more slot.

Thankfully for mages, CSing your equips comes much later down the line, as you have a lot of gear you can scroll first. For the gear you can craft, you can throw in gems if you'd like, but that greatly increases the cost of the craft. Because of the randomness of CS, some mage players opt to craft clean accessories and CS. This way, if it goes poorly in terms of tma but goes up in watk, you can resell it for a good price.

In a recent update, Yuna added some new 15% scrolls for the slots you normally chaos:
  • Belt (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Cape (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Eye (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Face (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
  • Shoes (+1 watk, +2 matk, +2 all stat)
For matk classes, these are great. A guaranteed +4 tma is an amazing option for finishing off accessories. If you have an accessory that you've CS'd two or three times and you're happy with the result, you can finish it with 15%s and WS.

1729838710116.png
With three pets, you can equip three pet collars and scroll them all 7 times. You can purchase the scrolls from @sp and the pet collar from the Cash Shop. Each watk scroll gives 1 watk, and each matk scroll gives 2 matk, totalling 21 watk or 42 matk. You cannot CSS slots on a pet collar, so if you have a lot of spare NX, I recommend buying a few and using scrolls until you get 3-4 passes in a row, then start using WS.

The pet collar only lasts for 30 days, so I would only consider making this equip if you have enough MP to make them permanent through Jarvis' donor shop.

This is an exceptionally long guide, so there are bound to be errors. If you've found a mistake or have any feedback, feel free to send me a message.

Great guide. Wondering if you would do an update with best maps to farm the powders on?

there's lv 105 maple weapon for all classes at a cost of 25 PQ point from @jarvis, which i think can be helpful if you dont have access to zakum weapon.

For a mage wanting a set of end-game gear, would we use a total of 12 Advanced Saphires, Black Crystals and Wisdom Crystals to use with all gear?

Added a brief section on this. If anybody has any additional map recommendations, please let me know.

I briefly mentioned them but I've edited that section to clearly state that Pyrope weapons are good alternatives.

For a mage wanting a set of end-game gear, would we use a total of 12 Advanced Saphires, Black Crystals and Wisdom Crystals to use with all gear?
Sapphire only works on weapon, and it's optional as you can gamble with black instead. Let's do a quick count, not accounting for remaking gear in case of low rolls:
Weapon: 1 wisdom, 1 dark, 1 black/sapphire
Shield, Overall, Earring, Glove, Hat: 1 wisdom, 1 dark, 1 opal each
This would add up to 6 advanced wisdoms, 6 advanced darks, 1 advanced black or advanced sapphire, and 5 advanced opals. This is for non-CS equipment.

Cape, shoes, tattoo, and monocle will also require 1 wisdom, dark, and opal each. However, using gems for these pieces are a suggestion rather than a hard rule. The meso cost increases with each additional gem, and you're prone to bricking a piece if the CS goes poorly. I would recommend using 0 gems here unless you're really trying to min-max.

Edited to specifically state Empress Diamond. It stated Empress Diamond in some sections but not all, so I've edited all sections for clarity.
