1. Because of a decision to add white scrolls and chaos scrolls to GPQ rewards, and because of the nerfing of requirements to start the PQ, GPQ became a great place to farm huge quantities of white scrolls and chaos scrolls.
2. GPQ is inherently unfair because it requires a NL and a mage, and all other classes are unneeded. Plus it has a huge learning curve... it is by far the most difficult PQ in Maplestory in terms of knowledge and jumping skills required. So basically veteran knowledgable players with NL+mage chars can spam GPQ and earn huge quantities of white scrolls and chaos, while others (the vast majority) who do not possess these attributes are left behind in the dust.
3. Obviously people who were left behind in the dust must've complained, because a new decision was made to limit the number of GPQ to 2 per day per, and also to reinstate the 6-player requirement for starting GPQ (which Nexon wisely put in place way back in the year 2007).
I absolutely agree with this decision (to reinstate the 6-player requirement and limiting it to 2x per day). I think it greatly assuages the bad feelings that the vast majority of the playing population have and solves most of the problems.
4. But then the people who liked spamming GPQ for white scrolls must've counter-complained? Because today a new decision was made to re-nerf the entrance requirement from 6 to 3. This is a bad idea. It makes it much much easier to re-spam GPQ by select elite professionals.
5. Why go back and forth trying to please the elite white scroll hoarders, or the unwashed masses left behind in the dust? Why not just go back to what GPQ was originally meant for, which is to bring honor to your guild and help out a guild Shadower who needs Assasinate 30? GPQ should never have been a place to farm white scrolls. It's a horrible place to do it, because it inherently favors one class over another and pro jumpers over people who suck at JQs.

Seriously, please think about reverting GPQ back to what it has always been in Maplestory. A way to make your guild famous. It has never ever been about farming valuable items or gaining tons of experience. If money or exp were your top priorities, you would never run a GPQ. That's not its purpose.
GPQ should require 6 guild members, and it shouldn't give out white scrolls or chaos or any other super valuable items. It's one of those things that Nexon got right.
