Low level Boss monster cards
It is no fun to one shot bosses over and over again. So, for bosses with less than 50M HP, please make the card drop rate 100%. You don't want to make new players unable to job advance because there is no Manon and Griffey spawn.

Normal Monsters
Increase the drop rate to 5%.
For mobs where people actually train at (Petrifighter, Skelosaurus, Skelegon), set the drop rate back to 2%.

This change is much needed for people to make 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. funded characters.

If there is no Manon/Griffey a player can still use the Secret Spell Scroll. I personally didn't find 2% too low, at 2% it was on average 250 mob kills for a card set which for maple story is fairly tame (some quests in Maple Story like Temple of Time or Rememberer Quests have historically been 999 kills).

Sure you can use the Secret Spell Scroll, but I had to go to DreamMS to find a guide on where to buy it. Would anyone want to spend 10m mesos and all the time travelling when you can kill Manon/Griffey in a few seconds? Nope.

Monster book is about exploration. In most games, 1 kill is all you need to unlock achievements. 250 kills is pointless grinding, not exploration. It is tame only in comparison to 999 kills which is horrible.

In Mushroom Kingdom Questline, guides explicitly says to skip the Provision quests (collect 200 ETC). Why? Because 200 kills is too much time wasted.

Sure, anyone can do 250 kills. Anyone wants to redo it on multiple accounts, on a character with low mobility/mobbing? Nope.

Game is supposed to be fun. Grinding is boring. When it's too painful to make another account, one might as well quit. Won't be getting feedback from players that quit.

I still can't find justification in bosses with 3 to 6+ hour spawn times, like the ToT bosses or Manon and Griffey.
Player progression or quest progression shouldn't be halted because someone decided to card farm on all the channels just before you logged on to play the few hours you had that day; it's genuinely unfair.
What benefit is there to have such a timer?

Agreed bosses need higher drop rates on their cards. I think the mobs are fine.

The way I see it, if you don't like killing a bunch of mobs, then you can't really like maple Story much, that's what the game is. If everything was changed from kill 250 to kill 1, that would be like a 1000x exp server, where the entire journey is pointless & the only purpose is to skip to end game with everything you need, as everything is handed to you. The fun in getting monster book cards is that it's enough of a struggle that you feel like you achieved something by working hard to get there.

The 999 kill quests were an example, but they're nowhere near the longest quest, some quests had things like 0.02~0.05% drop rate for say Arwen's Shoe, so it was 2000~5000 kills of Fire Boars for one item. Getting items like that felt special because of how rare they were & how much time you had to spend getting them. So many people already have +100 all stat books because it's not that hard.

Adjusting the drop rate of monster cards for bosses with >1M HP and <50M HP to 100% (for next patch). Will not change the normal drops. Thank you!
